LEBRON JAMES AND NBA PLAYERS TREYVON TRIBUTE

The Trayvon Martin case has touched all facets of society, including pro athletes. LeBron James organized a tribute to Trayvon Martin last Thursday in which he and all his Miami Heat teammates sported hoodies in a team photo. Martin's father has thanked James for the gesture. Similarly, Amar'e Stoudemire and Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks tweeted photos of themselves in hoodies and also donned them during pre-game warm ups.
“It's a tender situation, you want more positive community leaders,'' Stoudemire told the NY Post. “We got to set better examples for our community, especially as a watchman. You got to be a leader of the community, and set better examples.''
